Rest Lab Four

Rest Lab Four took place in an intimate room deep in the lower level of Krannert Art Museum. Centered around the theme of catharsis, visitors were invited to reflect on three questions: What hurts? What worries you? What is your secret?

Visitors could write their reflections on colored paper, then shred them using hand-powered paper shredders. The contents of the shredders were routinely emptied into an upside-down museum vitrine, holding the privately shredded hurts, worries, and secrets. Through a collaboration with Facilities and Services' campus recycling, various shredded paper remnants from across campus filled containers throughout the Rest Lab space.
