Rest Lab One

Rest Lab One was a one-week experiment to occupy a gallery space at Krannert Art Museum that was resting and otherwise empty between exhibitions.

Rest Lab One included prompts to create collaborative poetry, faces, and drawings using various sizes and colors of Post-It Notes on the gallery walls. Children’s books, board games, and giant Jenga blocks were available on pedestals arranged around comfortable seating and floor pillows. In the afternoon, the gallery lights dimmed and a projector illuminated a purple shifting galaxy across the darkened walls.
